Growing vegetables at home

More people begin to do home gardening during the pandemic，and it’s no passing fancy. Recent research shows that about 80% of those who took up gardening since the beginning of COVID-19 will continue the pastime in 2021.Several factors have driven the increase in home gardening: food insecurity and the pandemic are two of them. Also, people had more time to spend at home and many turned to gardening to keep themselves occupied during lockdown.

After expert interviews and customer interviews it was found that it is important to choose the suitable plant varieties at the beginning of the growing stage and purchase the correct planting supplies needed. The alternatives now to address this problem is complex,the information of plants and usage of supplies searched online was incomplete and scattered across different platforms. Also, the purchase process cannot ensure to match the supplies with the plant varieties. In general, the information access and purchase process are cumbersome and inefficient.
